Money Tree Wedding Present

This is a money tree that I made as a group gift for a co-worker's wedding present. Several people from my job donated money towards the cause. I downloaded origami instructions and passed out to the co-workers that participated. We each folded a bill to place on the tree. Of course I ended up doing a lot of them for those who said "I'm not crafty". Some of the shapes included elephants, swans, crosses, roses, hearts, bow ties, bells, etc

I bought a silk plant that resembled a rose tree, decorated it with white bows and made a scroll with a poem to hang with everyone's signatures.

The poem read:

Mr. and Mrs. XXXXX

On your special day,
we choose to celebrate your union,

in a very special way.

In the place of a gift with traditional style,
we hope these paper gifts will bring many a smile.

We’re sure Bonnie will enjoy shopping and buying,
while Alan can spend plenty of time trying!

Some things you need are large,
some things may even be small,

but with time you’ll have it all!

We feel a money tree's the way,
to say congratulations on the big day.

Items that you might need are not easy to foresee,
so what might help you in the future,
is a deposit on your Money Tree.

If other guests/family wish to participate,
There is plenty of room,

To give a monetary wish to the bride and groom.

God Bless Alan and Bonnie on their Wedding Day!
